In a scenario worthy of “The Spy Who Shagged Me,” WikiLeaks cables from September 2007 reveal that Chinese Minister of Finance Jin Renquing resigned because he’d been trapped in a romantic ‘honeypot’ with a Taiwanese intelligence operative. In August 2007, when Chinese officials announced announced that Jin Renqing was stepping down, their claim was that “personal reasons” caused his resignation. However according classified US diplomatic cables recently released by WikiLeaks, the Jin Renqing was actually involved romantically with a woman also linked to other prominent Chinese officials. It is alleged that this woman was an operative and “a promiscuous socialite” for the Taiwanese Intelligence services.

WikiLeaks released hundreds of Guantanamo Files revealing details about the imprisonment if innocent children or elder people while releasing other detainees that had been designated “high risk.” Jason Leopold says the Bush administration operated outside the law. The Wikileaks Artic Oil and Resource cables highlight a major global issue while setting the stage for some awesome potential Wikileaks movie and film scenes. Movie and film fans are already imagining the movie scenes which will highlight key impacts or milestones emerging from the Wikileaks and Julian Assange story. Diplomatic cables have been released by Wikileaks which bring a key international issue to light: the competition for Artic oil, gas and natural resources by countries including the US, China, Canada and Russia. As polar ice melts due to global warming, massive reserves of natural resources are being exposed, resources which fossil fuel dependent industrialized countries need. The Wikileaks cables bring new detail to this issue relating to resource extraction and the opening of new, strategic shipping routes. Make no mistake that major countries will go to great lengths to assert first rights to this resource base as economic, military and political power is tied to ownership of oil and natural resources. Given this fact, it will be interesting to watch how the Wikileaks movie and film projects will incorporate this topic of the competition for Artic Oil, which in many respects reminds our team at Wikileaks-Movie.com of a suspenseful, espionage-filled and action-packed James Bond movie.

In 2013 Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will step down as Iran’s President. A recent confidential Cablegate release by Wikileaks has revealed that the Iranian President is “grooming” his Chief-Of-Staff Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei to take over as leader. The cables note that Mashaei is “controversial” and “at odds” with the Iranian clerical establishment. The question of who will take over as the Iranian President is a very important one, as Iran is considered a destabilizing force to be reckoned with by numerous countries, most notably the United States and Israel.

Goodbye Quantico. Hello Fort Leavenworth. Bradley Manning, the Wikileaks player suspected of providing classified data to Julian Assange and company, is on the move. U.S. officials will soon move Manning from his cell in Quantico to a U.S. Army prison and detention center in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This comes as big news as Manning’s treatment and prison conditions have ignited a firestorm of protest from supporters, Manning’s parents, constitutional legal scholars and international political leaders from all corners of the world. For the growing community of Wikileaks Movie and Film fans this is an important milestone on Bradley Manning’s journey, a journey which will no doubt be chronicled and highlighted on the big screen as a key contributor to Cablegate, Wikileaks and Julian Assange.
