As a high level official working for Obama and Clinton, Crowley’s comments were not consistent with the “official” stance on Bradley Manning. So within a few days Crowley resigned, one of the first high level US Government resignations as a result of Wikileaks. This was a big deal and continues to be a big deal. And thanks to Crowley’s political twitterliness and short, straight-to-the-point commentary (http://twitter.com/#!/PJCrowley) and his military and political background, he is becoming a force to be reckoned with. Crowley reminds us of a slower talking version of a super smart Howard Dean without the loud public outbursts.
