WikiLeaks Film & Movie – Alex Gibney & Jigsaw Productions Update

The WikiLeaks film & movie by Director and filmmaker Alex Gibney is coming closer to fruition. Gibney, the founder of Jigsaw Productions, has created a WikiLeaks movie and film page for their “Untitled WikiLeaks Project” which is in production. As you may recall, Gibney “The Dishevelled Columbo” has been on a world-wide quest to better understand and document the WikiLeaks and Julian Assange story. WikiLeaks-Movie.com has received first-hand updates on Gibney’s interviews, including one by Icelandic leader Birgitta Jónsdóttir, Icelandic Parliament Member.

Wikileaks-Movie.com is pleased to introduce you to Birgitta Jónsdóttir, Icelandic Parliament member, artist, poet, activist, former WikiLeaks spokesperson, and co-producer of the video”Collateral Murder.” Jónsdóttir is also a member of what is being referred to as the “Twitter Three,” where the U.S. Justice Department is trying to access her personal Twitter account in order to build a criminal case against Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange. Jónsdóttir has played an influential role in the unfolding Wikileaks story but what is not readily apparent, given the news media’s focus on Wikileaks, is that she has a range of passions and talents that combine into her unique role as one of the most important leaders to emerge in modern Icelandic history. This is her story.

Wikileaks-Movie.com alert! As many of you know Alex Gibney of Jigsaw Productions interviewed Birgitta Jonsdottir this past weekend. As a follow-up, Birgitta has shared her “take” with the Wikileaks-Movie.com community. Birgitta Jonsdottir has played a key role in the Wikileaks story and has “stepped out” to claim a position on issues relating to Wikileaks, freedom of information, Bradley Manning and a host of other topics. Her perspective will no doubt be incorporated into the Wikileaks movie, film and documentary projects as she has been a key activist in the trials and tribulations of Wikileaks including the release of the Collateral Murder video.

Wikleaks Movie & Documentary Film Interview — Birgitta Jonsdottir Meets With Director Alex Gibney

Birgitta Jonsdottir will be interviewed by Director Alex Gibney for the Wikileaks Documentary Film, further documentation that this film project funded by Universal Pictures is well underway. This update comes from Birgitta, a member of the “Twitter Three” and Icelandic Parliament who has been active in many causes including Wikileaks. And now her influence will be felt and seen in the Wikileaks documentary film by Alex Gibney. Birgitta has a compelling experience to share and a definite perspective on Wikileaks, Julian Assange and other major global issues. The update on this interview was actually shared as a Facebook and Twitter post from Birgitta Jonsdottir. Hopefully Birgitta will let us know how the interview went!

The “Twitter Three,” Judge Theresa Buchanan and the Wikileaks Social Network

MMore Wikileaks Movie material as Judge Theresa Buchanan requires Twitter to share the Wikileaks social networks of the “Twitter Three” Jacob Appelbaum, Birgitta Jonsdottir and Rop Gonggrijp. These associates of Julian Assange may have substantial social networks linking them to other key members of the Wikileaks community. And now Theresa Buchanan has required Twitter to give up this information to investigators who seek the communications of the “Twitter Three” s to make a case and file charges against Julian Assange for his vast Wikileaks disclosures of Cablegate diplomatic cables. These cables were allegedly provided to Wikileaks by US Army Private Bradley Manning. However the exact relationship and communications between Bradley Manning, Julian Assange and other Wikileaks members remains vague. Data provided by San Francisco-based Twitter may help investigators clarify this aspect of the Wikileaks story and legal case and will no doubt bring more information to producers of the Wikileaks Movie who are looking to document and portray this key piece of the puzzle. This legal judgment, along with others, will have an impact on the trial(s) of Julian Assange and could potentially have ripple effects on the social network habits of government officials, activists and intellectuals down the road. In discussing the Wikileaks Movie there are frequent comparisons to The Social Network. This legal case involving Twitter, and by precedent other sites such as Facebook, makes the connection between The Social Network and Wikileaks Movie (s) more tangible.
