For Wikileaks movie and film junkies, updates from Alex Gibney or other producers have been few and far between. But just as the Gitmo file dump raises eyebrows and sparks massive debate with over 700 revealing documents, we have learned this week from Alex Gibney and 24 Frames that his Universal Pictures documentary is “moving” and will likely focus on the “less heralded” players in the Wikileaks movie and documentary film.

For the Wikileaks movie thriller, it is important to understand the filmmaking and film production stages that take place behind the scenes. For those following the Julian Assange story and Wikileaks movie with great interest the team at Wikileaks-movie.com would like to provide an overview of the stages of filmmaking and film production. We have read that multiple Wikileaks movie and film projects are underway, but when can we expect these movies to be released and what are the stages or steps of the filmmaking process for Wikileaks? Filmmaking (also called film production) is both a science and art but in general there are five (5) structured stages of film production. These stages will more or less be the same for many of the Wikileaks movie projects with a few steps added depending on the complexity and unique features being incorporated into the Wikileaks movie.

Question: Will the Wikileaks movie or Julian Assange documentary “Leak” new information to bring the herds into theaters and shock people out of their seats? For instance, will Cablegate be furthered by a movie or documentary releasing an as-yet-unleaked cable? Will any of the information passed to Wikileaks by Rudolf Elmer come out for the first time in the theaters across the globe? Will we learn something about a certain leader, diplomat or radical tell it like it is lefty celebrity like Michael Moore?
