Rowan Joffe To Write HBO’s “Wikileaks Movie”. The HBO & BBC Wikileaks Movie team has tapped Rowan Joffe to write the script and screenplay and added a deep roster of executive producers to complement the Oscar-Winning Director Charles Ferguson. Joffe has an impressive background, previously directing “Brighton Rock (2010)” and writing for George Clooney independent film “The American” as well as “28 Weeks Later.” Joffe will work in collaboration with Ferguson and a talented group of Executive Producers including Josh Maurer, Alixandre Witlin, David Stern, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.

For the Wikileaks-Movie.com audience, Raffi Khatchadourian is a must-read author and Wikileaks authority whose work as many of you know has been optioned by HBO for a movie project directed by Charles Ferguson. And today we introduce you to his most recent piece “MANNING, ASSANGE, AND THE ESPIONAGE ACT” which is available at the New Yorker. First, some background and context. In June 2010, Raffi Khatchadourian penned an article for the New Yorker titled NO SECRETS – Julian Assange’s mission for total transparency which provided an in-depth view into the world of Wikileaks and Julian Assange. At the time, there were very few articles that brought the reader into the day-to-day workings of this organization during its quest for “total transparency” and game changing impact in the world of journalism and diplomacy. Since this time this article by Raffi Khatchadourian has been optioned by Hollywood as part of an HBO movie and film project directed by Charles Ferguson. Raffi has also tackled other projects, including writing a piece on Iraq War Crimes titled The Kill Company – Did a colonel’s fiery rhetoric set the conditions for a massacre?

In the Summer of 2010, Raffi Khatchadourian penned an article for the New Yorker which provided an in-depth view into the world of Wikileaks and Julian Assange. At the time, there were very few articles that brought the reader into the day-to-day workings of this organization during its quest for “total transparency” and game changing impact in the world of journalism and diplomacy. The article begins by flying the reader into “Project B” as Julian Assange and team set up shop in Reykjavik, Iceland to work on the release of the now famous “Collateral Murder” video. And from here we are treated to a nearly 10,000 word journey inside the world of Wikileaks and the enigmatic Julian Assange. This literary gem has since been rumored as source material for an upcoming Wikileaks and Julian Assange Movie and Film.
