LulzSec Hacker Suspect Arrested in UK – LulzSec Denies the Detained 19 Year-Old Teenage Suspect, Ryan Cleary, is an Associate

LulzSec hacker suspect is arrested in the UK. A British teenager, Ryan Cleary, has been arrested in a joint police operation in the UK and is suspected of being a mastermind behind the international computer hacking group LulzSec (aka LulzSecurity & The Lulz Boat). LulzSec has denied Cleary is a part of their hacker group via Twitter.

The arrest of the 19-year-old comes just days after the group claimed it brought down the US Central Intelligence Agency’s website, along with many other high profile government and corporate websites. Scotland Yard immediately launched an investigation and detectives from the force’s E-Crime Unit swooped in on the teen’s home in Wickford, Essex, on Monday.

“The Lulz Boat” – A Wikileaks-Movie.com ReMix: Featuring LulzSec, Tupac Shakur and Anonymous – “Come Aboard, We’re Expecting You” The LulzSec hacking contingent, otherwise known as “The Lulz Boat” or “Lulz Security” has made quite the hacktivist splash in recent days with high-profile, cause-driven hacks targeting PBS, Sony & the FBI Affiliate InfraGard. In the spirit of artistic expression, artists are beginning to tackle this subject matter with a range of output and the Wikileaks-Movie.com creative team would like to contribute our own unique interpretation. Of course, this ReMix blends the LulzSec Cartoon Face (itself a ReMix…Planter’s Peanuts?). Secondly there is Julian Assange, himself a hacker at heart, taking the in place of Gavin MacLeod aka Captain Merrill Stubing. Also featured prominently are Tupac Shakur and the “Mask of Anonymous.” And if you look closely you will see that the “Love Boat Moon” has been treated with special attention as well.

The LulzSec attacks FBI affiliate InfraGard based in Atlanta. The FBI, Sony and PBS have one thing in common. Within the span of one week they have all become high profile targets of the LulzSec Hacking Group “”Lulz Security® (LulzSec), the world’s leaders in high-quality entertainment at your expense”. The lastest action on the FBI affiliate InfraGard continues to lift LulzSec into the headlines along with more general feeling that hacking, hackers and hacktivists are taking on new meanings and more of a role in “today’s world.” Following the attack, which was announced via Twitter yesterday with the title #F***FBIFriday, the LulzSec group (aka LulzSecurity aka the Lulz Boat) posted torrent files for over 700 MBs worth of emails as well as password and login information. Additionally, a few commentators have connected this hacking by LulzSec to the recent U.S. CyberSecurity Strategy.

Sony Hacked! LulzSec (aka The Lulz Boat aka LulzSecurity) has hacked Sony. Fresh off a retaliatory hacking of PBS for their Frontline Special “WikiSecrets,” LulzSec has turned their sights on Sony which has been the focus of repeated large-scale attacks recently. This hack has reportedly compromised personal data for a million Sony customers. LulzSecurity has claimed responsibility for this attack after indicating for some time that Sony was in their digital cross hairs. The electrifying role of hacking and hacktivism in our world continues to expand as nation-level conflicts emerge alongside critical stories and issues like Wikileaks that make the front pages. The role of the “hacker” and “hacktivist” will certainly be key to portray in the Wikileaks movie and film projects.
